TrenStar congratulates the BMW Group on its Centenary

Updated: Aug 5

“Not only is BMW 100 years old, but it continues to set trends in production, technology and sustainability,” says TAP du Plessis, CEO of TrenStar South Africa.

Since its humble beginnings in the middle of the First World War, the Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (BMW Group) has grown to the household name it is today – synonymous with luxury German motor engineering and known for its inspiring designs and desirable driving experiences.

This year, the Bavarian company celebrates its centenary by continuing to inspire supporters of the brand with its unique philosophy, vision and mobility concepts.

“BMW has a holistic view of the future and has used this position to constantly reinvent itself. It is this market relevance that allows BMW to be the future-forward company that it is. Congratulations on this massive achievement. As TrenStar, we continue to look forward to our continued partnership with BMW South Africa,” says du Plessis.

TrenStar supported the Gauteng BMW Car Club through the use of its RFID technology, by tagging each vehicle at the club’s centenary celebrations at the Red Star Raceway on August 20, 2016. As an independent third party, TrenStar was able to count and verify the number of vehicles that took part in the day’s festivities. 147 BMW’s of all makes and models graced the track during the parade, adding to the day’s camaraderie.

TrenStar is BMW SA’s sole provider of rental returnable packaging. All parts and components are transported to the Pretoria, Rosslyn Plant in specialised TrenStar packaging designed to offer part protection and supply chain visibility.

Du Plessis adds: “Our work with BMW SA is a true end-to-end supply chain offering and a partnership that delivers tangible results.”
